The plans
Free — $0. One configured product, dropdowns/multi-selects/text answers with per-answer prices, swatches, pictures and tooltips, design themes, and native checkout.
Starter — $19/month. Everything you need to sell your first custom products: the full configurator for up to 10 connected products (sections, options, swatches, tooltips), structured pricing rules (adders, multipliers, tiers, lookups), conditional logic and validation rules, ready-made templates and presets, design themes with live preview, and native cart & Shopify checkout — no Plus required.
Pro — $49/month. Everything in Starter, plus unlimited configured products, formula pricing with raw expressions, customer groups & wholesale pricing, quotes & pay-by-link (draft orders), and shareable configurations & carts.
Advanced — $99/month. Everything in Pro, plus full REST API access (templates, pricing, configs), ERP/manufacturing sync of ordered configurations, per-country option sets, per-variant option sets, and priority support.
How billing works
Billing goes through Shopify — the charge appears on your regular Shopify invoice. There's no separate account or credit card. Change plans anytime from the Plans button on the app's Home screen; Shopify prorates automatically.
The Free plan
You don't have to pay to use Pretty Product Options. Install it and you're on Free, and you stay there until you choose otherwise:
- One configured product — enough to build a real configurator and watch it work on your own storefront.
- Dropdowns, multi-selects, text and number answers, with per-answer prices, swatches, pictures and tooltips.
- Design themes with live preview, and native cart & Shopify checkout.
What needs a paid plan: more products, the other answer types (number, date, file upload, image, HTML), conditional logic, formula pricing, customer groups, quotes and the API.
Free trials on the paid plans
Every paid plan starts with a 10-day free trial. You won't be charged until it ends, and you can change or cancel at any point during it.
If a trial ends and you don't continue, you go back to Free — nothing is deleted, and your storefront keeps working. Anything above the Free plan's limits simply stops being editable until you upgrade again.
Upgrading
Upgrades take effect within a few minutes. If a page still shows a feature as locked right after upgrading, give it a moment and reload.
Downgrading — nothing is deleted
If you downgrade, your work is kept: templates, rules, groups and design themes all stay in place. Features above your plan just stop being served or editable:
- Above 10 products on Starter? Existing connections keep working; you can't add new ones until you're back on Pro.
- Formula rules on Starter? They stop being editable; per-choice prices keep working.
- API tokens without Advanced? Requests are politely refused until you upgrade again.
Upgrade again later and everything is exactly where you left it.
Questions about a charge
Shopify handles the actual billing, so refunds and billing disputes go through Shopify's standard app-billing process — but reach out via Support first and we'll help you sort it out.
